The 95th Reorganized Inten October 29, 2010 (Fri) - November 16, 2010 (Tue) The Adachi Museum of Art will open its new annex in the autumn of 2010, when the museum marks its 40th anniversary. As part of the celebrations, we will hold the 95th Reorganized Inten, featuring about 150 works; some of these are newly released by coteries and others have won awards in Inten. We hope that you will enjoy the “dressy” aspect of contemporary Japanese paintings. *The new annex will be closed from Wednesday, November 17 to Wednesday, November 24 to replace the exhibited works. Contemporary Japanese Painting Exhibition November 25, 2010 (Thu) - Undetermined Inten established the Adachi Museum of Art Award in 1995, in order to assist in the museum’s desire to nurture promising Japanese painters. This exhibition displays the winning works, as well as representative works by Inten’s coteries, including Miyasako Masaaki. The goal is to showcase the “new faces” of the museum.
