Kawai Kanjiro, Poet of Fire, Exhibition, in Commemoration of the 120th Anniversary of His Birth
June 19, 2010 (Sat) - July 11, 2010 (Sun) 
Kawai Kanjiro (1890-1966) was born in Yasugi City, Shimane Prefecture. He is a ceramic artist who established a unique art form through his creative use of ceramics with colorful glazes, calligraphy and carving. This exhibition, in commemoration of the 120th anniversary of his birth, uses the entire ceramics hall to display his master works. We hope that you enjoy the world of “the poet of fire,” Kawai Kanjiro. |
