Moss garden in summer Beyond the red pines, the namako-kabe wall will impress the viewer with its solid magnificence. |

View of the moss garden from Kansui-an The elegant moss garden is a Kyoto-style garden created by master garden designer, Saichi Kojima, of Kyoto. The red pine trees are planted aslant as Kojima believed that it would be cruel to plant them upright since they had been growing at such an angle on the mountainside long before they were transplanted to the garden. |
