    Nachi Waterfall in the Moonlight2010 204.7×168.7 cm
    Nachi Falls, which was once held in religious reverence, is luminous under the moonlight. The picture is indicative of the painter’s attitude and sensibility to nature. This work is an excellent example of the painter’s detailed portrayals and unique coloring.

Tezuka Yuji

1953‐
Tezuka Yuji was born in Kanagawa Prefecture. In 1979, he won his first at the Inten Exhibition, while he was part of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. He then distinguished himself, winning Japan Art Institute Awards for three consecutive years. In 1992, he was recommended as a regular member, despite his young age. He has actively painted for the Inten Exhibitions, group exhibitions and personal exhibitions. His work has a deep, sensitive coloring style and a bold composition, which attracts many viewers.
