    This is based on preparation work in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. Through this healthy, beautiful portrait, the pleasure of living with the earth, pride in working, and gratitude for the harvest are expressed. The stable structure and detailed description are excellent.

Kurashima Shigetomo

1944‐
Kurashima Shigetomo was born in Nagano Prefecture. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts. In 1974, he participated in copying mural paintings in the Takamatsuzuka Tumulus. In 2003, he won the ninth Adachi Museum Award with Ripening, and the following year, he was recommended as a regular member of the Japan Art Institute. Meanwhile, he also became a professor at Hiroshima City University, where he strived to cultivate younger painters. He has traveled foreign countries such as China and India for preparation, and has lyrically painted foreign people who live with nature.
