    A school of fish swimming around together, an isolated fish in the same space, and the external world reflected on the water and the glass. Various scenes overlap in the picture. This is an abstract world where time and space are changing, and the painter let his imagination run free in this work.

Yoshimura Seiji

1960‐
Yoshimura Seiji was born in Fukuoka Prefecture. In 1985, he graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. He made his mark at an early age, winning an Inten Exhibition award for the first time in 1987. On the other hand, he was part of a team investigating the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, China, in 1989. Moreover, he was engaged in the production of original drawings of the Three Amida Buddha Statues at Yakushi‐ji Temple in 2002. He won the sixth Adachi Museum Award with Aquarium in 2000. He has established a fantastic art style, in which motifs such as birds, fish, landscapes and people are well harmonized.
