The museum is open 7days a week.
The Annex closes every few months for the refreshment of exhibits.
The Annex will close on:
Apr 23, Jun 13-14, Jul 1-2, Oct 3-4, Oct 28-29, 2024
Feb 19-28, 2025

Parking

Free
  • The parking lot can accommodate 30 buses and 400 family cars.

Accessibility

  • 6 wheelchairs and 2 baby strollers available at the Front Desk, free of charge. Advanced reservations are not available.
  • Accessible restrooms with wide space and diaper change table are located at both the main building and the Annex.
  • 8 designated car spaces are available for guest with disabilities.

Audio Guide:
Our audio devices offer commentary on the Japanese gardens and some of the art works on display.

Discount Service for International Guests

Upon showing your passport, the price of admission will be discounted.
For adults, a discount of 300 yen is available (admission with discount: 2,000 yen).

Please note the following points of etiquette
for the consideration of other guests and the preservation of the art works.

■ Please quietly appreciate the works in the building, and refrain from any behavior that may disturb other visitors.
■ Please disable ring tones/alerts on your cell phone, and refrain from talking on the phone in the museum buildings. There is a calling booth  available beside the lobby in the main building.
■ Smoking is prohibited inside the museum. There is a designated smoking area outside the museum.
■ Guests with small children are asked to ensure they avoid running around and touching the art works. The safety of our guests is very important to us.
■ All forms of photography, video recording and sketching are prohibited in the museum. However, the gardens can be photographed freely.
■ Please do not touch any exhibits or showcases.
■ Please refrain from eating and drinking in the museum. For specific medical exceptions, please ask a member of cafe staff.
■ Do not bring in any dangerous items. Please do not bring in any animals and pets,except for service dogs.
