Tezuka Yuji was born in Kanagawa Prefecture.
In 1979, he won his first at the Inten Exhibition, while he was part of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
He then distinguished himself, winning Japan Art Institute Awards for three consecutive years.
In 1992, he was recommended as a coterie, despite his young age.
He has actively painted for Inten, group exhibitions and personal exhibitions.
His work has a deep, sensitive coloring style and a bold composition, which attracts many viewers.
