    Magic Lantern Stagecoach2005 259.0×193.9 cm
This work was produced by request for Okamoto Kihachi, who is a great Japanese film director. Okamoto was envisioning and planning a movie while bedridden with illness, and he asked the painter, Miyasako Masaaki, to express the essence of his movie ideas in a picture. The totally restrained coloring suggests reminiscent feelings, even melancholy, in this work.

    Afternoon Lambency2006 194.0×259.0 cm
Horses running at speed toward the goal are vividly expressed. Afternoon light and shadow can be seen to sway on the bright greenery of the lawn. The painter’s excellent intuition and abundant skill make the work graceful.
