Ide Yasuto was born in Fukuoka Prefecture.
In 1990, he graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo University of Arts and won an award at Inten for the first time.
He began teaching at the Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts in 1995, and since 2015, has taught at the Aichi University of the Arts.
He won the Adachi Museum Awards three times; in 1998, 2013, and 2021.
He has long been produced brilliant and mysterious works of flowers or female figures, with a theme of the people and traditional culture of Bali.
