Kunishi Hanako was born in Tokyo.
She graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo University of Arts in 1989, and learned from Hirayama Ikuo.
She won an award at Inten for the first time in 1990.
Since then, she made her mark at Inten, and won the Adachi Museum Award in 2014, 2016 and 2022.
With her abundant sensitivity, she takes human beings as an important motif to create abstract pictures.
The impressions are bold, fresh and modern.
