    Windows of the Engine House2009 168.7×213.7 cm
    An aged locomotive sits in a station yard. Most of windows are broken and covered with wooden boards, but sunlight leaks through front window. A red diesel seen through the window draws the viewer's attention. The scene is nostalgic, showing the slow stream of time.

Odano Naoyuki

1960‐
Odano Naoyuki was born in Kanagawa Prefecture. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 1984. Since winning his first the Inten Exhibition award in 1985, he has released works for Inten. In 1989, he worked part‐time for the Department of Conservation at the university he graduated from. In 1999, he won the fifth Adachi Museum Award with A Moment in Time. With his remarkable skill, he has produced numerous works that depict nostalgic landscapes that instill the viewer with the gentle flow of time.
